Baked Chicken Nuggets - Kid-Friendly Meals

Ingredients:

– 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
– 1 cup whole grain breadcrumbs
– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional for extra flavor)
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1 tsp onion powder
– 1 tsp paprika
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/2 tsp black pepper
– 1 large egg, beaten
– Cooking spray or olive oil for baking

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole grain breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

3. Dip each piece of chicken into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off, then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.

4. Place the coated chicken nuggets on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced out to allow even cooking.

5. Lightly spray the tops of the nuggets with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil for added crispiness.

6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).

7. Allow to cool slightly before serving with your choice of homemade dipping sauces.

These baked chicken nuggets are not only delicious but also a great way to ensure your little ones are enjoying nutritious recipes without compromising on taste!
